Dr. Anna Tenorio is Board Certified in Family and Community Medicine and Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. She completed medical school studies in the Philippines, at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. She was accepted in the Family Medicine Residency program at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX, and was one of the Chief Residents in her class. After which, she completed her Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. She also worked as an Urgent Care Physician while in the said Fellowship program, in order to maintain her knowledge and experience in Primary Care.
After completing her Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, Dr. Tenorio accepted a position to become an attending physician and faculty at Houston Methodist Hospital at the Texas Medical Center in the Internal Medicine and Palliative Care Department. She helped patients and families go through difficult times during their hospitalization.
Dr. Tenorio is passionate about outpatient primary care and palliative care, which inspired her to establish her own practice. She offers telemedicine services, house calls, and plans to introduce in-office visits in the future. Her primary focus is on the overall health of her patients, and she is dedicated to assisting them in various aspects of their healthcare.
As a certified wound care specialist, Dr. Tenorio is well-equipped to provide comprehensive wound care support. She also holds a BIOTE certification, allowing her to offer guidance on hormone health, particularly for women experiencing menopause and perimenopause. In addition, she is skilled in managing complex medical conditions such as (but not limited to) diabetes, hypertension, mental health issues, and thyroid disorders. Dr. Tenorio also runs a weight loss program and can prescribe GLP-1 medications, including Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, to support weight loss efforts.
